Addition Soil pH notes:

pH < 5.5: Soil pH is out of the optimal pH range considered to sustain good plant growth and crop yields. Consider liming the soil or contact your local county extension agent for additional assistance.

pH 5.5 – 7.0: Soil pH is optimal for most plant growth. No soil amendments are suggested. However, you may wish to contact a local county extension agent if plant nutritional efficiencies are observed.

pH > 7.0: Soil pH is out of the optimal pH range considered to sustain good plant growth and crop yields. Cease soil liming or contact you local county extension agent for additional assistance.

Note to users: These statements are general guidelines for agronomic crops and lawns. Specialty crops, grasses, trees, and shrubs may have more specific requirements. We encourage you to use regular soil testing to monitor soil pH and nutrients. Please contact your local county extension agent for additional information or plant specific requirements.
